starting line

Two years ago I signed up for my first sprint triathlon. I’d been on a running kick since moving to SF and was looking to cross-train after my marathon dreams were dashed due to nagging running pain (a theme we will explore later)

Looking back, the past 2 years have been quite the evolution. Don’t know what made me take a leap that day to sign up, but am so grateful I did. As you often hear, that feeling of finishing a race and being in that moment is indescribable. Made even more incredible when you realize this is something you want to keep doing more of and getting better at.

While community is certainly a plus, triathlon is completely something I dove into and continue to do for myself. It’s a forum for me learn about and work on myself. It’s a sport / lifestyle that continues to give back just as much as you put in, if not more.

From the start, it’s been about more than fitness - it’s been a journey of progress, perseverance, self discovery - and is very much just beginning!

This section is dedicated to this journey. As much time as I’ve spent training, learning, planning my life around tri, I’ve surprisingly spent very little time properly reflecting, journaling and tracking. Excited to start.
