One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting people who at first seem entirely different and then you start talking and you’re like whoa we have a lot in a common.

Today we met a Dutch couple staying in the same villa and over breakfast came to learn they do were taking some time off. They too did a month of van life in New Zealand and were now in Bali for 1-2 months and were thinking India next.

It’s reassuring, these short encounters. It makes you feel more connected to the world and the people in it.
